How does my garden grow???

Very Very well thank you!!!  (Except for my spring onions...I have now disowned said spring onions...or what was left of them anyway!!!)

The weeds that i'm growing 'cause the spring onion didn't survive!

Last night i made a chicken and vege tart with Silverbeet that i grew myself!!  I also ate a Strawberry from my strawberry plant!! It was delicious, thanks for asking! :)  The lettuce is finally blooming after i feared that it too would need to be disowned, and my beans and corns are starting to show their dainty wee selves!!!

The corn!!!  Little corny buds are hiding in the inny leafy bits (yup, made up my own technical terms)

Silverbeet! Yum, yum...that's a lie, but it was good in the Tart i made!!

Look at my lettuce go!!!

Yummo!!!

My Beans going rampant!!

My baby beans!!!

And what about my broccolli and tomatoes i hear ya ask??  Im waiting patiently....well, i'm waiting anyway!!  Both plants are growing beautifully however the broccoli is showing no signs of sprouting any heads, and the tomato plant has some pretty flowers but no tomatoes yet!!

One of my Broccoli!!

Tomatoes!!....Nearly...One day....hopefully soon!

I think instead of my weed collection i might attempt some spinach!!  Maybe!  So, moving onto Hubby's garden...Bahahaha!!!

The sad, sorry sight that is his garden!

Corn and Strawberries, having trouble viewing the strawberries?  That's cause they're tiny!!!

Baby Cherry tomatoes!!  The sad hilarious part here is that overnight the tomato plant seems to have died!!

I know, i know, i shouldn't make fun of his garden (until recently i couldn't even keep a cactus alive), but we had a wee competition going and it looks like i'm winning!!! (There is no prize for this competition, just pride)  So Yay!! It's strange though, because his broccoli and the pea plant closest to it, is blossoming beautifully, and is growing a lush green grass around it, and everything else (in the same garden) is dying!!
(Hubby's currently trying to convince me that his strawberries are alive, they're just not growing....uhuh)

The Sole Survivor!!

So that's my garden update!!  I'm so excited that i've actually managed to grow stuff!! It's fantastic!!  I shall continue to brag inform everyone of my gardens progress and hopefully i'l be able to post some pic's of the beginnings of some tomatoes and maybe a couple of heads of broccoli!!

Hope everyone's week is going great!!

6 Months Old!!!!

My boys growing sooo fast!!!!  6 months ago, we were meeting our gorgeous wee man for the first time, we were discovering just how much love you could have for one tiny wee person, and we were discovering how amazingly blessed we were that God felt us worthy of being parents to this little miracle!!

The last few weeks have been A-MAZ-ING!!!  What a clever little man we have!  Not only is he now rolling, he's eating a bigger variety of mushy stuffs (his fav' is banana custard), he's discovered splashing in the bath and finds it hysterical, and in the last couple of days he's discovered that squealing is a fun thing to do!! (Yay us...)

Cuddles with mummy!!

The biggest thing for me though is that he sits up on his own!!  It only took him 2 days to learn how, and i still have to put him into the seated position, but then he just hangs out and plays by himself!! (With me hovering over him like the overly paranoid mother that i am!)  Exciting times i tell ya!!!

Still no teeth yet but u can feel one of the bottom ones right under the gum!  I hope it breaks through soon so he can get a wee break from the pain!  Sleeping has also continued to be a fun game of power napping during the day and waking 2-3 times a night, but he rarely gets grumpy and over tired!!! (I do!!)

Our Gorgeous wee chubba is so smiley and giggly!! He LOVES playtime with dad, and looks for daddy at bath time to find his bare belly to tickle!!  Sigh, I want to say life doesn't get any better, but every day it does!!

Happy 6 months my cheeky lil monkey!!  Mama and Dada LOVES ya!!!!

(Prepare for photo dump!!!)

My fashion sense is a bit lacking...

Snuggles with Nana

Watching the news with Popa!

Those scrummy feet!!

Riding the rocking horse that Daddy used to ride!!

Hanging out with Dada!

Cheeky bean :)

Beautiful Boy!!

Look, sitting up!!!

Would you believe i had to narrow this photo dump down 5 times!!!  Have a great week everyone!!!

Round the Bridges!!

So i have reasons for being a blog-neglecter, i really do!  Strangely, for the larger part of November, i have had some form of a social life, and just a whole lot to do!!

Does anyone remember a couple of posts back, my crazy ramblings of a 12km fun run/walk? No? Neither, but apparently i signed up for one and last week.....Dun Dun Duuuuun...I DID IT!!  Yup!! Totally did a 12km walk with a wee bit of jogging!!  And it was fantastic!!  There were a couple of hills thrown in so we didn't get relaxed about the whole thing (does a kerb count as a hill? JK!!) and the start was just a massive squash fest but it was 'O' for Awesome!!

Me and the Hubster!!

We all look so flippen happy to be at the start line!lol!

I did this Event last year, competing in the 6km walk with a good friend and 20 week baby bump, this year i doubled the distance with 2 fantastic ladies and my hubby and a 5 month old!!  And isn't being stuck in a mob of slow moving athletes just the perfect place to discover a bit of pram-rage!?  I was running feet over left right and center (completely unintentionally though!!) as people were cutting in front of me and suddenly slowing or stopping right in front of me!!  I was tempted to run a few people into the river!!

Starting to break away from 'The Mob'

So it totally looks like Sally has the energy to dance as she walks!

So the walk/jog took me 2 hours and 16mins, for which i'm thinking not bad (im actually completely stoked  with that time!) since i ended up carrying my child over the finish line whilst pushing the pram he was s'posed to be playing happily in!! (Such a trooper to last as long as he did though!!)

Crossing the Finish!!  Lachy loved the jogging part much more than his mum!!

One day Lachy can wear a number too!!

So there ya go, thats a wee snippet of what i'v been doing this month!!  And you know, i may or may not have signed myself up to do a 2-3km Santa run......and i just might possibly have committed myself to enter the Tough Guy/Gal race....and the Huntly Half (as in Marathon, Gulp)....and maybe a couple of other events..... :o

Cupcake Party!!!

I know, such a contradiction to the previous post, but i swear i only decorated some!!  So i have such a talented friend! Not only is she whipping my butt into shape, she's also the most A-MAZ-ING  Cupcake maker/decorator Ever!!!  And now she's branched out into Cupcake Parties!!  So of course i want to host one...would be rude not too...nothing to do with wanting delicious cupcakes at all....!!!

So with a bit of instruction and a few demonstrations we all tucked into the decorating bits and bobs and proceeded to make our cupcakes beautiful!!  I gotta say, while mine certainly looked nothing like Lals, it was fantastic fun, and for a brief moment in time, i felt like a crafty wee cupcake-maker-person!!

The following are pic's that i made Hubby run around and take, of our wee creations!!

The FUN Begins!!! (I promise i didn't eat a single chocolate biscuit or lolly!!)

Our inspiration!! Love those Frangipanis!!

Lal' showing us how to do icing that looks like a rose!! (Actually, i think it's fondant?)

Right before we jumped in to try our own!!

Since i'v lost the page that i recorded what everyone made... A pink one with a Frangipani!

A brown one with a Bumble bee....(Did i mention Lal' made all the decorations except the wafers!?)

Yellow with hearts.....I actually think these are pretty self explanatory really....

Yummo!

Me trying to be clever with the Rose technique!! It kinda worked!

Lal' and the lovely ladies that joined in the craftiness!!

I love these bumble bees!!

Little baby hands!! (Made for baby shower cupcakes!!)

Getting really crafty and mixing the topping colors!!

Big Bumble bee!!

Such a fantastic night!!! Although Lachy had a wee bit of a melt down so i missed the first part :(  Oh well, just means i'l have to get invited to the next one!!!  New skills and a good ole chinwag with friends, can't ask for more really, so thanks ladies for a fantastic night, and thanks Lal for bringing us together!!

Ps:  Sally and Keri....I'l be seeing you ladies on Wednesday!!! Yay Breaking Dawn!!!! Bahahaha!!

Toodles!! :)

Mid-point Shred!!!

I'm Back!!!! I feel like iv been away for so long, and i really missed my daily blog reading (I have so many posts to write too)!! I thought the end of October was tough, turned out the start of November was worse, but we got there in the end!!!

Another thing i made it through was the first 15 days of 'The Shred' (said in a deep horror film voice with 'dum, dum, duuuum' after it)!! Yup, i'm half way through level 2 and i am feeling the burn!!  So who remembers my pics from 15 days ago???

Well, the 2nd pic is from 15 days ago anyway!  For the last 2 weeks i'v been pushed and challenged to work harder than i ever have before, and to rethink my eating habits even more by my 'Jilli-Lal' and inspired by my 'Sal-bell'!  I'v had slip ups (as in the chocolate biscuits have slipped up into my mouth), but i still haven't added any sugar to anything, haven't had any 'bad' take-out (Maccas and such, i have had Pita pit and home made pizza), or king size choc bars, and haven't had any milos since September when that first pic was taken and 'Jilli-Lal' started challenging me!!  Proud much??? Yup!!

And so the following pics show the results of 15 days of hard core working out (hard core to me anyway!), and long walks (Build up to the 12km walk i signed up for on Sunday....Gulp) and wiser eating!!

Even I can see the difference now!!! (especially the diffrence in my expression!) My clothes feel bigger, my waist is returning, but the thing i love the most is that i'v stopped thinking of losing weight!!  My focus now is making my body stronger and challenging it as much as i can!!  Don't get me wrong, i still want to lose weight, but i'd rather spend this exercise time realizing how flippen amazing my body is and seeing it do so much more than i thought it could (I'v been running!)!!

So Lal, i know your reading this...You are so freaking Amazing, and Inspirational, and Positive, and Real!!!  You Challenge and Encourage and Support and Guide and you make me feel like i can do absolutely anything!!  Your just a Total Legend and i just Love the person you are!!

So stay tuned, cause for the next 15 days i'm going to be going even harder to finish this Shred in style!!!  Il be posting more pics of the finished product and some details of how its changed my bod!!

Any who, id better go so i can sort the rest of my posts that shud'v been posted already!!

Toodles!! :)
