Did i miss December?

Whoops, i missed December...how'd that happen!?  Oh I KNOW!  It was a month long flurry of birthdays, anniversaries, ear infections, coughs, house moving, Christmas markets and Christmas!!!
Yes, yes i did say house moving...again...(i'm starting to feel like some previously undiscovered Gypsy genes are trying to break out!)

Things have been just a tad hectic, and with children that didn't take to the move like good Gypsy kids should, both with coughs, and no one sleeping...well, you know, priorities!
At least i got my Christmas shopping done...on the 23rd of December...at 9pm...

You know what though, Christmas was Awesome!  It wasn't a year to start traditions, (or purchase a tree...magical mum fail 101) or decorate, or host feasts, but we were together, and that made it magic enough :)  My children also got spoiled rotten, so there's that!

And over the last few days we've just been relaxing, going on 'jungle adventures', hanging at home and just getting back into routine (also, unpacking boxes...sooo much to unpack).  The boys are enjoying their new back yard and having their own rooms, we're enjoying prepping the gardens and welcoming our first veges, and everyone's just taking a breather really!

Now, sitting in my armchair, with chip and dip, watching my favorite 'Alaska - Last Frontier' episodes(I love Jane, she's hilarious!), i'm remembering 2014, and thinking of what i want to achieve for 2015 (Move to Alaska..?)  There's just something wonderful about having a new year, full of potential stretched out in front me!

 Goals are Coming!!
(and photos...as soon as i unpack my camera!)

Merry Christmas Every One!!

So i know it's Christmas day, but im not the hugest Christmas person, and Hubbys at work, and Bubbys sleeping, so what better way to spend my day then stalking my fav' blogs and writing aimlessly about everything i think is interesting!!

1st - Mini Photo Dump!!

Nom nom, Toes!!

OMG!!! Strawberries!!

More Strawberries!!

Nom, nom nom!!

Just hanging out, watching telly!

On Friday night we went to an 'Ugly Sweater' party!  Finding the sweaters proved fun, with the Red Cross op-shop giving us the best and cheapest selection of ugly stuff!  The guy girl (guy dressed as girl?) was quick to point out that the items we had chosen were at the height of fashion in Paris.....Really??  Well, we're not in Paris, and we're not fashionable so the sweaters are still extremely ugly here!! (My sweater/dress did have a Pierre Cardin label, but i think he might have been 10 when he designed it?!) We thanked him her for the info and high tailed it outer there clutching our hideous bundle of woolens!!

The Ugly Sweater Family!!

Lachy was Not impressed!

Thanks Red Cross Womens section for this stunner!!

And thanks Red Cross Baby section!!

I also took my chunky-monkey for a cruise in his new (hand-me down new) wheels!!  He absolutely loves this car!!  I can almost imagine what he's gunna be like when hes older and can actually drive!!! (Scary thought!!)

LOVE his face!

At least he's pooping concentrating!

Road rage is starting already.....Ooops!

Mastering the wheel!!

Last night (Christmas eve) we went to my sisters house to open a Christmas eve pressy!!  It was bubbas first go opening presents, and i thought he'd be more interested in the paper, but he was a champ!  He loves his presents, and is currently chewing on his book!

We'll be opening more pressies when Hubby gets home from work tonight!!  As well as feasting on Curry and Roti!!  (anyone jealous much??)  So i think now i might go and have a cat nap whilst my baby is still snoozing!!  I hope everyone is having a safe, happy Christmas (or whatever it is you celebrate!)!!!

Toodles!! :)

Ps:  Check it out!!!!

Meeting the 'Big' red man!!

I'v never been a big Christmas person.  In fact, most years i'm more of a grinch!!  I dont try to steal Christmas of course, but i try to stay as far away from festivities as possible!  Well this year is DIFFERENT!!  This year i have a little boy that looks at bright glittery things with AWE!!  I have a little boy that, in a couple of years, is going to know about the magic fat red man that delivers copious amounts of gifts, and his magical flying reindeer and sleigh!  He's going to hear about other kids leaving out cookies and carrots to feed said troop too!!

So last week i tucked my grinchness aside, and hubby and i took Lachy to meet Santa!!  (Im using the words 'hubby and i took' very loosely, cause really i dragged them both to the mall!)
The had a lovely Christmas scene set up, Pohutukawa (NZ's answer to a Christmas tree) and Takahe (An endangered NZ bird, although i thought they were Pukeko!) and Santa and his chair were front and centre!!

I totally thought Lachy was gunna cry, but he held it together as i settled him onto the 'Big' mans lap! (I'l point out here that Santa was in desperate need of some Big Macs!!)....(I also didn't mention to Santa that my son had soaked through his nappy, i just strategically placed a wee blanky between them!)

And so i stood there like a loon trying to #1 make my child look at the camera, and #2 make him smile!  Neither really worked but we did get one vaguely amused look out of him!!

Did i mention that i'm now fully in the swing of Christmas and we have a decorated tree with a stocking for bubby! (I'l post about that later!!).  Ive decided that i'm going to get Lachy a picture with Santa every year for as long as he believes, just because :)

I'l be back again tonight! (So behind with posts!!)

Toodles :)
