2 Whole Amazing Years!!

After spying this rather chipper lad at Parachute, and a rather long fb stalk, i finally nabbed him!!!  (I have very impressive fb stalking skills!!)

Yup, geek alert!!

Fast forward to this time 2 years ago (does that even make sense??) and i'm walking down the isle to my Knight in Shining Tartan!! Our wedding day was perfect (Thanks Bianca!!) and we said our 'i do's' with our family and friends close by!!

We have our ups and downs, but together we started our journey down the end of the country, together we adventured.....

...together we watched my belly grow, together we welcomed our baby boy into the world, 

together we're doing life!!

Here's to the rest of our life together, side by side, being a team!!  Lets keep alive the dream of growing old and wrinkly, rocking chairs rocking on the front porch, pooch in between, shotguns loaded!!

Steppin' Out!! Finally!!!

Whoop whoop!  I dressed PRETTY!! Today we went to a Schmooze event which is basically a womens health/beauty gathering thing(yes i dragged the hubby along).  I must be honest though....i really only went to see the cupcakes!!  I have an addiction to Little Jems!! (Here too!!)

Anywho, cupcakes aside, i made an effort with my appearance today!  Well, with my outfit anyway!!  I have been blessed with amazing friends, one that's shrunk and doesn't fit her clothes anymore, which is fantastic for both of us!!  She gets to be slim and i get new clothes!! (did i mention she has gorgeous feminine taste, unlike my jeans and jandal style!).  So this was the outfit i put together this morning!  I promise next time il brush my hair too, maybe even a bit of make up mascara!!

The look i was going for here was Casual Romantic.  Do i feel that i achieved that?  Wouldn't have a clue really, i'm still trying to figure out what Casual Romantic even means!!  But i certainly felt pretty!!  Hopefully i can do Steppin' Out again soon, cause for my self esteem the dressing up is DEFINITELY worth it!!!

Oh Pinterest, How do i love thee, let me count thy ways....  You make me feel so creative, when in fact i've only ever made one thing,  you make me laugh even when i'm in a foul mood, you let me see what the world finds crafty/funny/helpful (whether i want to or not!), and let me steal repin what i want!!

So there's a wee peak at some more of the things i find Pinteresting!!  I assure you i will be adding many more posts of this nature, just to share my addition with other like minded addicts (You know who you are!!)

SUMMER IS HERE!!!

As i type this post i'm gazing out at the beautiful sunny day, admiring the light breeze and the sun glinting of the pool water..... Just Kidding!!!  I was actually looking out at the gray sky watching someone elses pamphlets fly across our lawn in the wind thinking 'what the heck!', and then i remembered...Its summer!!!

The sun did make several short appearances...

Yes, i chased the junk mail just to take a photo....It's not ours!

I love summer, the month of December in fact is pretty awesome too!  Our wedding anniversary, my birthday, Christmas!  Its a fantastic month, and towards the end the sun really does come out in full force and we get to experience the beauty of hot days and muggy nights, sweating over the BBQ and standing under the hose for a bit of light relief!! (Please note, this doesn't work when the hose has been sitting in the sun heating itself and the water inside!

Dinner!!

So tonight we dine on Chicken and bean Tortillas, jam packed with salad (lettuce from my garden!! Brag brag) and for pudding a Nashi pear!! Om nom nom!!  Summer food!!  (Ok so Tortillas can totally be eaten anytime of year, but i associate them with summer!)  I was also very excited to use my new Onion Rice bran oil!!  Our chicken had a lovely onion scent to it!...Well it did till i put the Burrito mix in! (Yup, Burrito mix in our Tortillas!)  Unfortunately we dont have any ice cream in the house for me to be able to taste test my mintymulu Topsy Tipping! :(

 So yup, Summer is here and i welcome it with open arms!!  (Please remind me of this in January when i complain about the stinking hot days and nights!lol).  I hope Lachy does too, cause an unhappy summer baby wouldnt be as fun as a happy one!!

I'm also declaring here that i shall make a much huger effort to post lots more this month, November was a bit of a fail for blog posts in this house!!

Did i mention that it's officially summer!!???  Yay!! (not rubbing it in at all....much!)  (I should point out that i get very jealous of all the snowy pics popping up everywhere from the other side of the world!!)
